Business Development Executive – Branding Agency
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and converting leads into long-term brand partnerships. This role acts as a bridge between prospective clients and the creative team, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs and translating them into strategic brand solutions.
The ideal candidate understands branding, marketing, and creative services, and has the ability to sell value—not just services.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the agency’s positioning and expertise.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, outreach, and partnerships.
- Engage with founders, marketing heads, and decision-makers to understand brand needs.
- Qualify leads and assess project scope, budget, and timelines.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships.
- Act as the primary point of contact during early-stage discussions and onboarding.
- Maintain ongoing communication to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Pitching & Proposal Development
- Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to develop tailored proposals and presentations.
- Prepare pitch decks, proposals, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Present agency capabilities, brand thinking, and project approach confidently.
Market & Brand Understanding
- Stay informed about branding trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Understand client industries and translate business challenges into brand opportunities.
Collaboration & Handover
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to strategy and execution teams.
- Align expectations on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support relationship management post-project where needed.
Skills & Competencies

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or client servicing within a creative or branding agency.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
