UI/UX Specialist
Role Overview
The UI/UX Specialist is responsible for designing intuitive, user-centric digital experiences that align with brand identity and business goals. This role combines user research, interface design, and usability thinking to create seamless digital journeys across websites, apps, and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate has a strong balance of creative design sensibility and user-focused problem-solving, with the ability to collaborate across strategy, design, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
User Experience (UX) Design
- Conduct user research, usability analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
- Define user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interaction models.
- Translate business objectives into intuitive user experiences.
- Identify usability issues and recommend data-driven improvements.
User Interface (UI) Design
- Design visually engaging, brand-aligned user interfaces.
- Create UI systems, components, and style guides.
- Ensure consistency across digital platforms and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with brand designers to align UI with brand identity.
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Participate in design reviews, feedback sessions, and client presentations.
- Support design handoffs using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
Testing & Optimization
- Conduct usability testing and iterate based on insights.
- Review live builds to ensure quality, usability, and visual accuracy.
- Continuously improve experiences based on user behavior and feedback.
Skills & Competencies
Core Skills
- Strong understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with developers and understanding front-end constraints.
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in UI/UX design or digital product design.
- Experience working in a branding, digital, or creative agency is preferred.
