Role Overview

The Website Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing websites that are visually engaging, user-friendly, and performance-driven. This role works closely with designers, brand teams, and content creators to translate creative concepts into functional, responsive digital experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of user experience, performance optimization, and modern web standards.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performing websites across devices and browsers.
• Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and brand guidelines into functional web pages.
• Ensure websites are optimized for speed, accessibility, and SEO best practices.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Front-End & Back-End Collaboration

• Work closely with designers to ensure accurate visual and functional implementation.
• Collaborate with backend developers or integrate CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, etc.).
• Implement animations, interactions, and dynamic content where required.

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize websites for fast load times and smooth user experience.
• Ensure websites meet security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Monitor performance and recommend improvements.

Content & CMS Management

• Manage and update website content efficiently.
• Maintain structured content architecture and navigation.
• Support content updates, landing pages, and campaign launches.

Quality Assurance & Support

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Ensure website functionality meets project requirements.
• Provide ongoing support, updates, and enhancements as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar.
• Familiarity with frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, or similar is a plus).
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of hosting environments, domain management, and basic server concepts.

Design & UX Awareness

• Ability to interpret UI/UX designs and brand guidelines accurately.
• Basic understanding of user experience principles and responsive design.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in website development.
• Experience working in an agency or brand environment is a plus.
