ABAN sought a corporate identity that would reflect its ambitious vision of becoming a leading global offshore drilling contractor. Operating in a highly specialised and technology-driven industry, the company required a bold and contemporary visual identity that communicated engineering excellence, operational strength, innovation, and international capability. The identity needed to project confidence across global markets while supporting the organisation’s long-term strategic growth.
The design process began with an in-depth understanding of ABAN’s business, technological expertise, operational environment, and future aspirations. Research into the offshore energy sector, international competitors, and industrial branding identified the need for a powerful yet timeless identity. Multiple concepts were explored, focusing on themes of strength, precision, movement, energy, and technological advancement. The selected direction embodied the company’s progressive outlook through a clean, geometric, and futuristic visual language that was both distinctive and highly adaptable.
The identity was refined into a comprehensive corporate branding system encompassing typography, colour standards, stationery, industrial applications, fleet graphics, corporate communications, signage, and digital media. Every element was designed to ensure consistency, scalability, and strong recognition across global operations.
The new corporate identity became a powerful symbol of ABAN’s technological leadership and global ambitions. As the company expanded internationally to become one of the world’s Top 12 offshore drilling contractors, the bold visual identity strengthened brand recognition, enhanced corporate credibility, and supported its strategic positioning.
